WordPress won't logout user!

    Despite confirming the logout via the ‘You are attempting to log out of X’ screen when I am redirected back to my site I am still logged in!

    Not sure what is causing this or why!

  • Something must be wrong with your cookies or the way it is being read… maybe try and clear your cookies and try it again?

    Thanks for the reply. I’ve cleared my cookies and tried in a few different browsers, same problem annoyingly!

    Maybe you are using a cache plugin, that usually happens, if you logout, then you are still seeing the admin toolbar, but when you click it you will be redirected to the login page. try to clear cache on your wordpress site.

    I didn’t even think of that! I was using W3 Total Cache, but have deleted it now. Still the same problem strangely!

    After clicking log out I’m taken the the page ‘domain.com/wp-login.php?action=logout&_wpnonce=xxxxxxxxxx’ and the title of the page is ‘WordPress failure notice’ which doesn’t sound too good.
