WordPress Won’t Import All Posts From XML File

  • For some reason WP does not want to import all of my posts into my new WP blog. I have created several export files from my previous web host, and for some reason WP gets to post 341 each time, and then stops. I’m not sure why… Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I’m a bit frustrated.

  • Not the most elegant of solutions, but try breaking up the WXR file into two (or more) pieces so that one file ends with post 340 and the 2nd begins with the 341st post. If necessary, delete that 341st post from the WXR file if it fails to import.
