WordPress will not acknowledge my password

Hi guys,

I went to set up a website and got lost down the wordpress.com route only to discover that when you needed a plug-in you had to go ahead onto www.remarpro.com and the differences were massive.

Installing onto mac wasn’t ideal, after watching a youtube video on the subject, I went ahead downloading MAMP, Textwrangler, and making a few changes to wp-config-sample.php file.

(Everything was fine. Server worked. created a new file inside MAMP’s PHPmyAdmin

after accessing www.remarpro.com via localhost:888/- installed wordpress, entered in a password and username and when I went to enter this exact password and username into the www.remarpro.com login on the next page – It said it did not recognise my username or account.

What is going on?? I feel like I’m stuck at the airport with a permanetley delayed flight!
