    Hi there,

While editing a page with Elementor Version 3.5.4 the basic WordPress widgets are not included in the search results.

    Is this behavior intended?

    Hi,

To troubleshoot this issue, try follow these instructions:

Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, other plugins’ cache, server cache (if possible).

If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor and Elementor pro. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

Let me know how it went.

    Hi,

@henningaa Is the Issue still there?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the reply.

I checked this again using WP 5.9 and Elementor 3.5.5 – The issue persists.

Elementor is the only activated plugin.

    Best regards,
    Henning

    Hi,

Please try switching your theme as well (you can switch to any basic WordPress theme).

If the issue persists, please send us a screenshot of the JS console after you replicate the issue.

The WP Block elements you can see on the screenshot are still not searchable.

    Can you reproduce this?

    Hi,

This might be a bug after the new WP update.

Please try rolling back and see if it works.

I also suggest contacting WP support and seeing if they have any bug updates on their end.

    Hi,

I can confirm the same issue that I tested with multiple themes and WP versions without any additional plugins activated. Elementor’s search function does not take WordPress widgets into account and I’m unsure if this is a bug or if this is intentional.

You can minimize the impact of this problem on your workflow by adding the WordPress widgets you use more often to your favorites (Right click -> Add to Favorites)

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    @henningaa Are you ok?

    Hi @ozyeger

sure, thanks for asking. I hope you are also doing well.

Feel free to close this thread because I don’t feel like I’m getting an answer to my initial question anymore. I will use Joachim’s workaround in the future.

    Best regards,
    Henning
