• Hello,

The AWeber form widget on my client’s site is displaying code instead of the form. (See here at the “Free Resource to Protect You” section) Could you please help troubleshoot this issue?

Furthermore, the widget is loading indefinitely in the WordPress dashboard. (Screenshot attached.)

    Thank you for your assistance.

  • Good Morning,

This appears to be an artifact of your staging environment. The production version of your client’s site is using the same version of our plugin that is used on the staging site, and seems to be working okay.

Looking briefly at the HTML on your staging site, there are a few differences when compared against the production version. Most importantly for this topic, the Javascript that’s displaying rather than executing is not surrounded by <script> tags – I recommend taking a look at any theme updates or other changes you have in staging that could affect the rendering of the widget HTML.

If you need deeper troubleshooting after checking those items, please contact us directly at help@aweber.com so we can take a more detailed and individualized look, without exposing more customer-specific details on the forum.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Thank you for your message.

The discrepancy between staging and production environments is due to the use of a shortcode as a workaround, rather than the widget. I will submitted a request to the mentioned email address for a more detailed review of the issue.
