• Hello all,

I was checking Google Analytics today and I saw that some traffic was coming through this URL https://pixelers.net/www.guardlink.org/KZRzl1

When I visited the page, I just got a 404 not found error. However, when I stripped away the pixelers.net part and hit enter I landed on a porn site. Clearly something fishy is going on here.

Does anybody know about this and what can I do to stop it?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Set up Cloudflare, it is the best way I ever used to stop bot attacks, malicious traffic, save bandwidth and server requests, free ssl and even more.. For FREE ??

    Thanks Samuel,

I took your advice and integrated Cloudflare. I’m not sure if it will remove the suspicious url but it seems it will help to speed up my site.

I’ll keep an eye on it.

    Thanks again!

You’re welcome. after updating nameserervers you may want to go through security tab and choose “I am under attack” to enable DDos protection until you feel you are alright.

    You’re welcome.

raybeam – did moving over to Cloudflare help get the guardlink out of your sire?

DOn’t know if this means the wp installation became vulnerable.
I don’t think so as this is just an outside url ending up a 404 error.

As this is not a hack of your installation, and tomorrow it can be another host, you can better filter this in your GA.
A good article on this with several options: https://viget.com/advance/removing-referral-spam-from-google-analytics
