• Hi there fellow WordPressers,

Since a while a woocommerce webshop that I made loads extremely slow.
We looked for a solution by upgrading to a Managed WP hosting but with no result.
What’s particular is that the wordpress site is constantly spiking to 100% CPU and RAM usage. The hosting party tried helping us and even upgraded the hosting package, but still the website kept using 100% of all resources (cpu & RAM).

Since the hosting party can’t seem to find any solution or cause, I am quite desperate right now. If someone knows a way to diagnose or solve this issue it would help a lot!

Thanks for all the help in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Julius

  • Create a staging site, which will be an exact duplicate of the site but on a subdomain (e.g. https://www.staging.yoursite com). Then use that for testing. Start by disabling all plugins and enabling a wordpress twenty* theme. Check. Assuming the CPU and RAM usage is normal, reactivate the plugins and theme one by one, checking each time to identify which, if any, is causing the issue.

@pidengmor If I do this it still uses the same resources of the server, right?
If I create a staging page the main page probably still contains the same problem so I would not be able to check whether disabling certain plugins would solve the problem. That’s because all resources of the WP hosting are shared among all websites running on the same hosting package.

Am I correct or do I miss something?
