WordPress Video problems

  • This one is a bit confusing and I do not know if it is a wordpress error or it is something related to specific browsers that wordpress sites display on or if it could be a problem with my specific PC.

    When I upload a video to my wordpress site, the video cannot be played on the Chrome Browser or the Opera Browser or the Vivaldi Browser.
    What I get is the following notice inside the black box where the video should be playing:
    Media error: Format(s) not supported or source(s) not found.
    But when I check the site on Firefox and on Internet Explorer the video does show up and play.
    This problem is only on videos I have uploaded. All videos on the site from YouTube where I merely provided a link to them work perfectly.
    Can anyone tell me if this is a problem with wordpress or is it a problem with the Chrome and Opera and Vivaldi browsers?
    Or could this be something related to some type of setting in my windows 10 PC?
    I did call my host support and they said they checked it on their end using Chrome and it did work for them.
    So I am totally lost here.

  • The video on that page is working for me on Chrome 73.0.3683.86 running on Windows 10 when I click play. If you use an incognito window in Chrome will it play then?

    What format/extension are you uploading the video as?
