WordPress Version 4.4.2 Info Still appearing In spite of plugin being activated

    I have installed and activated “Meta Generator and Version Info Remover” plugin on WordPress 4.4.2. When I checked the server response from firefox, the following information still appears.

    <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 4.4.2″ />

    I have enabled (checked) all the options in the plugin (as shown below):

    Meta Generator Remover Settings:
    Remove Meta Generator Tag (Checked)

    Version Info Remover Settings:
    Remove Version from Stylesheet (Checked)
    Remove Version from Script (Checked)

    Hi,

    Could you please let me know if you have any caching plugin enabled? If so, then could you please try clearing the server cache and let me know?

    Along with clearing server cache, please clear browser cache as well. This plugin was thoroughly tested with the version you mentioned i.e. 4.4.2; so I believe it is some caching issue.
