• Hi,

I updated from WP 4.3.something to 4.6.1 ans (veruy unfortunately) my win 10 did updates the same day. Now my site ist so slow, that I received several RAM overflows in Google chrome and all my changes in the text were lost every time.
This happens with my very long textsites (12000 words, 8000 words) but nt with very small ones (2000 words).
The performance qith these long texts was very very well untill these updates.

I just compared: on a Win 2008 R2 Terminas Server the long sites do work all right.

I want to get rid of this *#?@+% win-10-***** anyway and get bayk to my solid working win 7, but – did anybody else have these problems ?

    Best regards

    ulrich

I’m confused. Is your desktop running Windows 10 or the server on which you’re running WordPress?

HI, my notebook is running win 10, the terminalserver is running Win 2008 R3.

What operating system is running where you HOST your wordpress site? If changing the OS on your notebook slows things, it’s a browser or local PC problem, not a WordPress problem.

There was no change at the OS of my hosting agency.

As my wordpress is fast enough if the browser is running on win 2008 R2 user-desktop, but wordpress is much to slow when the browser (chrome as well as firefox) is running (no: walking ?? on win 10 notebook-desktop (no notebook change, and notebook itself ist really fast), could this really be a problem oh the OS of the hosting agency ?

I understand your answer that there is no known issue with win 10 at the moment.

I will try at a win 7-desktop these days.

    Thx

    Ulrich

I don’t use Windows so I can’t tell if it’s a Win10 issue, an hardware issue or a browser issue. But it’s not a WordPress issue.

Thank you for this. Not using windows is quite wise ??

Did anybody have issues with wordpress getting slow after a windows 10 update these weeks ?

Hi, I think I foud the reason:
The SEO Plug-In Yoast SEO made my longer textsites veeeery slow.

Deactivated this, now everything’s fine again.

Must have been with an update – in earlier times ist worked fast and smoothe….

    Thanks for your help
