• Hello, I opened my site recently, and had a strange bug related to WordPress:

When I delete a picture using the media tab and upload a new one with the same file name, WordPress strangely reuploads the deleted picture.

Been having this bug since 6.5.2 and my website is on 6.5.3.

I only have the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin that has access to the pictures and manipulates them.

PS: My WordPress install updates automatically, as soon as a new build is found.

    Thanks

    –Yukito N.

If you’re using an image CDN, like the ones provided by the Jetpack and EWWW plugins, it’s possible that it’s seeing a file with the same file name and just serving what it has already cached.

Consult your CDN’s documentation for how to clear that, or upload the image with a new file name.
