WordPress Uploader not working

    Hello,

    I’m running an installation of wordpress in a subfolder, I had a little trouble at the beginning by not being able to upload images, I did gave permissions to the folder 777 so now i’m able to upload images.. but the image sizes are not being made, I’ve been trying to find a fix but everyone seems to only relate it to php libraries which I even have installed, I do have another instance of an old wordpress site in the root folder & the image sizes actually work in that site, anyone have an idea of what could be causing this problem?
