WordPress upload limit issues since update

  • Since updating to WordPress 3.3 wordpress says “Note : The upload limit on your server is 2MByte “

    When infact in php.ini is set to:
    upload_max_filesize = 580MB
    post_max_size = 580MB

    There is nothing in the wordpress config file which clashes with these limits.

    Does anyone have any ideas? Really need to get this fixed, as it basically means majority of the contributors are unable to submit their work.
