Same issue here! I’m running self-hosted WP4.2.2 and shows only that “dash” instead of version numbers.
Have you tried scanning with WordFence looking for injections?

My web-host is TopHost. What’s yours? I’m asking since we’re both Italians, there might be a chance of commonalities…
