WordPress update !

The last WordPress update (WordPress 5.8) has an update with the widgets, so now you can manage it as blocks.

Try to resolve it installing and activating the Classic Widgets plugin, that reverses the widgets operating mode.

Please, note that this plugin is only going to be supported until the end of 2022, so you would have to adapt your theme to work with the new widget system.

To add to what @amieiro has mentioned, you can as well disable the block editor-based widget system if you need your Widget functionality until you adapt your theme to work with the new widget system.
