• This is driving me insane, as it only happens SOMETIMES and not always. When I DO get the error, if I continue to hit “Refresh” it will go through after 3 or four tries… WTF?!? Also, sometimes instead of generating an error – I get dropped back to the index, regardless of what the link was that I was following.

I get a variety of errors – however all are “Failed to open stream” — This is my own server so I full control.

Warning: main(../wp-config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/koken.org/html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 5

  • New install?

New(ish) install – WordPress seemed to run fine for the first week or thereabouts, then I started getting these errors. I have tried to figure out what has changed in that timeframe and I do not know what is different.

Everything I think of just isn’t cutting it for an intermittent like this. Either back-track to find ‘the’ change, or perhaps delete wp-includes/ and wp-admin/ and re-upload? Apply the 2.0.3 Tuneup plugin too.

I’ll give the tuneup a shot – If I need to re-upload all of the files I can do that next…

I don’t understand the intermittent nature either- it’s wierd, it should be b0rked or not b0rked… not sometimes one way, and other times the other ??

Yes. Usually that makes me think of cache issues.

The Cache is not enabled, although I did *TRY* enabling it and it didn’t help (although it did work). I have since disabled it and also deleted the cache.
