WordPress trademark violation

Now and then I come across a website that is clearly in violation of the WordPress trademark policy. For instance by using “wordpress” in their domain name. Of course I’m not referring to the wordpress.com subdomains.

Does WordPress take active action against such violations?

In my opinion those websites not only violate the trademark policy, but also are unfair competition for those websites that do comply with the trademark regulations.
