WordPress Theam Virus

I sense some real potential instant karma going on here.

The theme you are using is a commercial theme from Elegant themes. If you bought it from them, then you should let them know via your support account that you got a dodgy theme.

The problem is, your theme’s style.css file indicates that you didn’t get that theme from them.

If that’s so… You really shouldn’t do that because the people who distribute those themes are some real [ self moderated ] and will do bad things to your WordPress installation.

Give Chip Bennett’s post a good careful read. It’s titled “Only Download WordPress Themes From Trusted Sources”.

Keep in mind that it’s very likely you are still hacked. Just deleting the inserted file isn’t really enough since you haven’t closed the door that the attacker got in via.

The links provided by Jan should give you plenty of information as to how to go about finding and fixing your infected theme. If you aren’t able to fix it I would recommend contacting Sucuri and have them fix it for you.

Not really. I mean, you’re using a commercial theme and we don’t support those. Have you asked the vendor you purchased the theme from for support?

If you didn’t get that theme via the vendor then you’re site is a self-inflicted wound upon yourself.

If you want to run securely then a) lose that theme NOW and switch to something clean and b) follow those links.
