I currently work for a small group at my college that runs a website for my major. We use a wordpress site and are looking to create a test site, host the same wordpress site on an unsearchable domain. I’m asking how you would go about hosing the same site again, but with a different domain/server. Copy/Pasting all the wordpress site files into the new server was our only guess as to how to accomplish this, which had failed. What files need to be changed to make this work?

exactly what it is you are doing is not clear to me. Do you want to have a blog that is live and search-able and an exact copy that is not but stays synchronized with live blog?
Or do you want to set up just a test site with all of the info you presently have on your blog but is not synced – to experiment with?

The second one. We just are looking for a test site that is a copy of our current site, that we can test on without breaking the main site.

    hi,
i guess you have to export files from the main site in the back end and then import this file in your test site.put you can copy paste the code for the page.php, css… i hope it helps you,
