• I want to create my own website using a WordPress template.
I have a few very basic questions, as I am not experienced at all.
I will be grateful for your help:

    – Can you view graphic options for each theme before you download it? (I mean change of background, font etc)
    – Do you have “news” option in a WordPress template?
    -Can you create subpages?

All of those questions depend on the theme – though you can generally do them all yourself if they aren’t part of a theme. Previewing themes will give you some info about them – also the description and theme.

Personally, I have a test site where I can try out various themes without messing up a live site.

Ok, thanks JenR. What do you mean by a test site? Do you have a separate domain for this “try out” site?

I understand that will be the only option to see the available graphics?

I have several development sites in sub-directories –

Many hosting companies make doing that very simple – for me, it’s a fill out one field and then one click to install WP.

My goodness JenR, it sounds really complicated. But I will look into it and see if I can do the same. Thanks a lot!
