WordPress-supported MySQL alternatives?

    I’d like to know if WordPress supports any databases other than MySQL?

    I’m afraid not. WordPress only supports MySQL and fully compatible databases such as MariaDB which is a fork of MySQL.

    Attempting to use anything else will just result in pain and suffering.

    Year ago there was some old way to get Postgress to work with WordPress but please see my earlier comment about pain and suffering.
