WordPress Support – Where to get it

  • Are there any WordPress support forums that I could join other than here as it does not seem like I am able to get any help at all using these forums ! I have tried posting in these areas posting on the authors plugin blog and just nothing. Basically what I need to know cannot be that difficult as all I need is to be able to make a menu item for the plugin I have installed

    You’ve been here for only two days and you don’t like the decor already? Sigh.

    There probably are other locations/forums but looking at your existing posts here’s the problem:

    You’re not doing it wrong or encountering a break/fix, you’re asking for customization of existing software or looking for recommendations for file management via WordPress.

    When something breaks (“I get an error message”,”I’ve been hacked”, etc.) that gets a response fast because many of us have broken things before.

    When you ask for how to do something out of the ordinary or ask for recommendations (opinions) then you may need to wait a while. Give it a while and try The Google if you don’t see or get the response you need.

    Actually I have been here more than a year but forgot my normal user name password (the email I used for this one is no longer in use) and had to register again. I just find it so frustrating that this is such great software but getting any help with issues seem nearly impossible. The last time I just gave up and went back to using Joomla. However now I need to do this project in WordPress and have already purchased some cool skins. The sad thing is if I cannot get this file vault to work my project is over as this one is all about storing files and documentation.

    I have installed the plugin WP-Filebase Download Manager and all I need to know is how do you create a menu item so a member can see the file area

    I have just been doing a lot of searches trying to find some answers to my issue. Still nothing that I can find that may help me

    all the helpers here are volunteers. you’re asking some very specific plugin questions and most of us probably don’t use it.

    The plugin has all the information you need, you create a page and insert a shortcode from the editor menu!
