WordPress Stats failed to upgrade

  • Hi

    I got an upgrade notice for the WordPress.com stats plugin to version 1.7.3 – as far as I remember, this is a generic wordpress plugin and comes with the initial install? At any rate, I now have the following error code:

    An error occured while updating WordPress.com Stats: Could not remove the old plugin..

    and no plugin = no stats

    any help, anyone?

    OK – cancel that question, I deleted the old folder and uploaded the new folder – but someone ought to know that it doesn’t work?

    So now I have a new question – IF I needed my API key (which I don’t) – how do I find it?
