wordpress stats and updating

  • Hi, I have a new wordpress site.
    1. i receive a message to update wordpress but it says i do not have admin permission. I am the administrator.
    What should i do please?

    2. My dashboard site does not have the usual stats.
    How can i add this please? Helen

    Hi Helen!

    If you have an FTP program and FTP credentials you can update your site that way. If you don’t know your FTP credentials reach out to your hosting provider and they can provide you with that information.

    As for the statistics. A standard WordPress installation does not have that built in but there are plugins available for that. Case in point:
