WordPress sponsors in my homepage

  • Hi! I just noticed that there’s an ad in my homepage with tags of products. How do i remove this?

    This is what I’m seeing: Support WordPress Sponsors: discount maxaquin online, discount micardis online, discount zofran online

    My homepage is momijicrafts.com if you want to see.

    Remain calm and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    Had the same problem. Seems to be associated with a plugin called “WordPress Support”. The three sites which had that plugin enabled had the same problem. I deactivated it and it was gone. Not even sure why that plugin was installed and enabled.

    Hm, I have heard some hosting providers installing something similar.

    What hosting companies are doing that. There should be a blacklist of hosts that add unauthorized content to sites.

    I wouldn’t necessarily say they’re adding “unauthorized content,” rather they’re pre-installing plugins they think are helpful, plugins which can obviously be deactivated.

    I am not sure how it was put on but it but it does say it is “by WordPress Development Team” ver 3.0 but that information may not be legit.
