WordPress spider

  • Hi everyone!
    I have this weird problem. I don’t know when this started happening but I think after upgrade to 2.9.1. I have Wassup plugin installed and everything is ok. But lately I see a lot of “wordpress spider” on site, every 20-60 minutes. It is annoying. It looks like this:

    <my hostings ip>
    /wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron
    Referrer: Direct hit
    Hostname: <myhost>.hostmonster.com

    * User Agent: WordPress/2.9.1; https://www.mydomain.com

    * SPIDER: WordPress

    * 22:33:28 ->/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron
