wordpress site won't load/load too slow

    if this is not the right place to post this please let me know:

    I got my website designed in wordpress (not by me) but what I’m experiencing is a terrible loading time.

    Sometime the page doesn’t show up, something (the page is taking too long- firefox error message) or when I refresh it load incompletely, or maybe it load if I turn off the internet connection and turn it on again, but I need to repeat this step for each page I want to open on my website, and not always it work.
    I initially noticed this problem is mostly during night time, but I’, not sure what the cause is (if wordpress or my hosting).
    How to get an idea and fix this?
    Do you need any additional information?
