WordPress site only works using VPN- fixed

I had a sudden problem loading my WordPress site. It took about 4-5mins to load and all images were missing- appeared as grey boxes. However using a VPN the site loaded fine.
It turned out that the problem was that a Content Delivery Network (CDN) (GoDaddy) was activated and this caused the issue. As soon as the CDN was switched off the site loaded fine.
