So the site I am trouble shooting is https://www.rentlucky.com

The site has been sending out emails just fine up until March 26. We are using Contact forms 7 and WP-Mail-SMTP. We were using them before too. I have tried to send emails through smtp but that just errors out. So it has to be PHP mail() function.

It claims to be sending mail and it even comes out at Bool true when I do the test email.

I also created a new user and told it to email me my pw. I have not received that email at all. So wordpress itself is not sending the email. I need suggestions.

  • I have the same issue. As soon as it updated yesterday I am no longer getting emails for new users, I had a plugin that notified me when posts were changed to pending that’s no longer emailing either, and all of my comment bubbles that automatically email are not sending out either. Huge mistake somewhere in that update yesterday.

I’m not sure it’s a WordPress issue. The first question I’d ask is what changed on or just before March 26? Your mail record indicates you’re using Google Apps for mail. Did a configuration change for some reason?

Thank you for trying to help. I ended up calling our hosting company. We got nailed by some spammers around that time and because of that our emails were marked permanently as spam. Its fixed now. Thanks again.
