WordPress site is loading homepage redirect before html

  • I must be doing something wrong. I have several WordPress sites that are not loading the html file first. Instead they are loading a homepage url redirect link. Both the redirect and domain loading take anywhere from .5s to 1.5s. It is really strange. The main similarity of all my sites is the W3 Total cache plugin.

    Has anyone else had this problem?

    So, I am new to web developing. I understand better what was going on. The redirect is based on https:// versus https://www. I currently have wordpress sites with the second option. If I switch to without the www. things load way faster.

    I think I need to do something with the .htaccess file. If anyone knows what to write, please tell me. Otherwise I will post the solution when I figure it out.
