  • its a huge leap to go from a crashed table to being hacked. the post you linked to is unsubstantiated fear mongering.

    Hi Whooami – I am glad to hear that, but that is also why I posed the question and the quoted “IF” this was a hack…. Or if this is just something that happens from time to time in wordpress.

    It was more of me inquiring what may cause this or if there was reason for alarm.

    it does happen, and it happens on some hosts more than others — yahoo small business, for example, in my experience, seems to have issues with this.

    I, admittedly, cant explain the root cause, and there *could* be something nefarious behind it. I just wouldnt make the link without more evidence.

    Okay thank you for the advice… I am using https://www.mosso.com as the host and I will keep an eye on things. To all that read this, the link please see it as just a “possible” solution to repair your options table.
