• I have been viewing and logging into my client’s wordpress site for months without problems. Tonight, all of a sudden I can’t see it or access it thru admin login. I get response server taking too long time out. I have 2 sites on the same server. One I can see and access the other I can not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not sure on the version of WP. I just selected one.

  • This might be a server issue. Have you contacted your host.
Can you provide a link to your site please?

A little more info. I can see the site on my cell phone using 3G service. When I use wifi I can’t see it. I used several different browsers on my home computers and get the server isn’t responding error. I use macs, but just tried it on my pc. Same results, it wont load.

I can access this site: jacksrack.com it is one of my 2 sites for the same client. topbananacornice.com is the other site that I can’t access. thanks!

I can see topbananacornice.com and the admin no problem.
I’m guessing there’s an issue with your computer or connection.
I don’t think that this is a WordPress issue.

Yeah, fine for me too. Have you tried unplugging / restarting your router and modem and computer — that sometimes clears out weird network/connectivity problems.

Check with your hosts. I’ve seen it happen that a site owner is mistakenly blacklisted from their own site because their frequent usage is identified by a firewall as spam or an attack; once they know your IP address is actually you, they’ll whitelist you. (And if the problem is something else, they’ll be able to see what’s going on. The fact that you can get to your site from elsewhere means that it’s not a WordPress problem.)

I powered down the router and no change. Not sure where the site is hosted. I didn’t build it initial, just maintaining and updating it. I assumed it was hosted by wordpress?

You can check who the host of your site is by going to
    https://www.whoishostingthis.com/topbananacornice.com

According to them it’s on site5.

Thanks! I contacted the guy who built the site initially. He is going to try to reset my ability to login to the site. Hopefully he gets to it soon!

I’ve just landed here trying to resolve the same issue and disabling wi-fi on my smart phone resolves the issue so it has to be an issue on the LAN probably the Virgin Media router (super hub).

I cleared the logs in the router then turned wi-fi back on and my sites loaded fine again so I’m guessing w-fi needed refreshing.
I hope this helps someone ??
