It seems as if this code is the problem:

if ( '/' == substr( $canonical, 0, 1 ) ) {
				$canonical = untrailingslashit( get_site_url() ) .

I have removed this code and the problem is solved.

I’m getting the same error. Is it safe to remove that code?
