WordPress SEO breaks Oasis Workflow

As reported by numerous other users, activating WordPress SEO by Yoast breaks other plugins – apparently by throwing a JS error from wp-seo-metabox.min.js (wp-seo-metabox.js).
An alleged workaround has been posted here:
