WordPress saying im running wrong php version

Check .htaccess to see if it’s specifying a version of PHP. Also, look for a php.ini file.

.htaccess dosnt specify a phpbb version and i carnt seem to find a php.ini file anywhere on my wordpress folder in my cpanel

check also for an .htaccess file in the directory above your site root. If you don’t find it there, ask your host whether your site needs to be rebooted to pick up the latest PHP version. This is a server issue, not a WordPress one.

i did a test.php with <?php phpinfo(); ?>

im guessing this is my php.ini file /opt/alt/php70/etc/php.ini

ok no php.ini shows up ill contact them over this and thank you

Yes, try changing that to php74.
