WordPress Root Directory Moved
-
I was checking my WordFence settings and found that my protection level was only showing 80% protection. I went to check on this and found that Wordfence was stating that my protection was being done from a remote site. I contacted WordFence and they checked the diagnostics for my site, which showed that my site had been moved from the standard ‘HTML’ root directory, to a ‘WWW’ root directory. I called GoDaddy and they stated that they had received a memo from WordPress, stating that WordPress was doing this, but they could not remember WHY this was being done. What was the reason that WordPress moved the root directory from its’ historical ‘HTML’ root directory. For WordFence, it hampers its’ operation.
