• I have noticed that WordPress removes tags/content if my client edits her site using the Visual tab:

    <div class=”table-top”> </div>

This is being stripped out, just by switching tabs from HTML to Visual. Is there a solution please?

  • Yes- don’t switch tabs. It’s a by-product of the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor, I’m afraid. It will remove most (if not all) of the markup from post or page content.

I guess when they originally wrote WordPress they didn’t anticipate web designers building full-blown sites with it and adding the kind of code that is getting discarded.

Has anyone found workarounds other than telling clients not to switch tabs? (That’s kind of like a red rag to a bull…!)
