WordPress Recovery Emails

    I neglected my website for years. And now I want to login but get blank page when go to the website and 403 Forbidden error when go to wp-admin. How often does WordPress send you the recovery emails because my last one was on 7 February 2025 and the link has expired to the recovery login.

  • Hi @ultraman,

    Recovery emails are send based on the fatal errors occurred. Can you try to login through the following URL and see how it goes?

    ie yoursite.com/wp-login.php

    You’ll have to change yoursite.com in the above to your domain url.

    I’m noticing a login page with the above URL when I load your site. Please check and see whether the above helps.

    I tried logging in with my admin user on the link you suggested. Now I get this error:

    403Forbidden

    Access to this resource on the server is denied!

    I enabled another theme and now I can browse my blog again. However, I can’t login via ramonthomas.com/wp-login.php I get 403: Forbidden Error.

    Hi @ultraman

    403 is usually a security plugin or service blocking the request.

    You can try to rename the plugins folder to _plugins then access the wp-admin ( But not the wp-admin > plugins ), then rename it back to plugins which will add back the plugins so you can access the plugins page to check for any security plugin that may be blocking the wp-login.
