WordPress post not found

  • I created a post in a new WordPress blog. The post can be seen and edited in WordPress but when I ask to preview the post I get a Message “It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?”

    I have saved the post as a draft and do not want to publish it at this point. I can’t see any reason that the post can’t be found.

  • did you change your permalink settings after creating the post. If you did the link you created before you changed the settings will no longer be valid.

    I set the permalink to /%postname%/ when I first set up the blog. I don’t believe that I changed the permalink after creating the post but I did an experiment. I set the permalink to /%postname%/ and created a new post as a test. I still get the same result saying the post can’t be found. I didn’t include the site name before but it is https://www.yourelectricwheelchair.com.
