• Hi,

I am using the built in portfolio management functionality WordPress offers. However, when I go to mysite.com/portfolio I get a list of portfolio projects I have created. But, the title on that page isn’t “Portfolio”. It is “Archive”. How do I make a change so it will say “Portfolio” instead? There is nothing in the instructions about how to do this.

    Thanks

  • The portfolio feature that you are referring to is mostly from the theme you have installed. Can you give the link to your website and the theme that you are using so that we can check?

Actually it is not a theme thing. It is called “Portfolio Content Type”. Found in the “writing” settings to enable. All documentation is located on wordpress.com, however the feature is included in self hosted wordpress as well. I know the theme doesn’t matter because even wordpress says “all WordPress.com themes will display your projects after they’ve been created“. Projects being portfolio items. Also, because I’m doing an upgrade to my site, nothing has changed even though I’ve tested out some different themes.

From what I can tell, it uses archive.php. I’ve tried to find a template page solution but have been unable to because portfolio acts like more of a category than a page and will display with or without a portfolio page being created at yoursite.com/portfolio.
