• Hi Hector,

We just installed the WPP plugin, but the widget shows no data, yet after almost 24 hours, and we’ve had traffic on the site that should register. The instructions on the plug-in page says,

“There are a number of reasons that might explain why you are seeing this message: … your current theme does not have the wp_header() tag in its <head> section, required by my plugin to keep track of what your visitors are viewing on your site; no one has seen your posts/pages since WordPress Popular Posts activation, you should give it some time. …”

First, I’m assuming the mention of wp_header() is a typo, because on another forum page you stated,

“Your current theme does not have the wp_head() tag (or it’s not properly placed), necessary to update WordPress Popular Posts’ cache table”

So I checked, and we do have the appropriate wp_head() tag in the TwentyTen header.php file. I’m using a child theme with no header.php replacement template, so it’s using the default header.php.

Is this a case of “you should give it some time”? How long is an appropriate time for this to work? It might be nice to give users an idea of what could be expected to make things work.

    Thanks!
