• I understand how to use WordPress to make a podcast feed. I will switch my current subscribers to the new feed using the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag.

Up till now I’ve been manually editing an XML file every time I publish a new episode, so I feel like I’m giving up some control by using WordPress. For example, if I ever want to change the address of my feed file again, how can I use the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag in WordPress??

I’ve gone ahead and entered my WordPress feed URL in the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag, but it’s not working; when I try to update the podcast in iTunes, I get an error.

    My feed URL is https://www.deconstructingcomics.com/?feed=rss2&category_name=podcast

Is iTunes expecting it to end with XML or RSS, etc.?

stingpin: how did this end up working out for you? I’m in the same position as you were (have been manually editing my own podcast rss feed, but might be switching to a wordpress managed one). I also use feedburner, so I’m not sure if I should change the iTunes feed to the wordpress managed one first, then change it to the feedburner one later or what.
