Hi guys, I have tried installing WordPress from 3.9.1 to 4.0.1 on my main website and subdomains and it just won’t work. It’s loading very slow, on dashboard where it should show WordPress news it says “RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: connect() timed out!” and also when I go to add new plugin it says “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.” “Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.remarpro.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home/garsonjera/www/ninjasaga/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 77”. But I have copied later the plugin-install.php from another website where I use WordPress and there it works good, but it still doesn’t work on this one ??

  • Recheck that you did not delete your config file during the upgrade.
    Clear your browser – retry,
Check if you have any caching plugins enabled, disable them and retry.
Disable all plugins enabled and retry.
With plugins disabled switch to default wordpress theme then retry.
