WordPress Pagination – Paged returns Empty Page

Hi all, I am trying to understand why paged=2 doesnt work in anyway for me, I have every possible thing to atleast find the error / show the error, but my page would simply display a WHITE blank page without anything in source if I add &paged=2 at the end..

for this, I will place following one line code in index.php

die(“anything”);

it works fine even with adding &paged=1, but if I add ?page_id=12&paged=2

page ID 12 is which I have set as a blog page… can someone please give me any clue what and where to find..
