• Dear forum,

I would be very grateful if someone could help me out with fixing my WP page. I have already tried copying & pasting in this sentence into the files called:

    wp-config.php

I then clicked on Repair & Optimise
This produced mesage that I should copy & paste the following into a post on the support forum:

    wp_users: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_users’ doesn’t exist
    wp_usermeta: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_usermeta’ doesn’t exist
    wp_posts: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_posts’ doesn’t exist
    wp_comments: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_comments’ doesn’t exist
    wp_links: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_links’ doesn’t exist
    wp_options: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_options’ doesn’t exist
    wp_postmeta: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_postmeta’ doesn’t exist
    wp_terms: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_terms’ doesn’t exist
    wp_term_taxonomy: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_term_taxonomy’ doesn’t exist
    wp_term_relationships: Table ‘db62721x2013856.wp_term_relationships’ doesn’t exist

Just for the record, my WordPress site was working perfectly last week, it doesn’t seem to be now ??
Also embarrassingly I don’t seem to be able to locate which version I’m running, I assumed it was the most up-to-date one… :-/

Can anyone help? I’d be very grateful for any advice.

    Cheers

Can you access your database separately, via your hosting provider’s control panel or phpMyAdmin (also usually in your hosting provider’s control panel).

If so, are all the tables there, or is it empty? If all the tables are there, what is the table prefix (the part before “posts” in the name of the Posts table)?

    Hi
    Many thanks for writing back.
Yes I can go into my web host & can view all the files associated with the WordPress site. (my version is wordpress-3.8.1)
The files in the ftp databank, are:

    wp-activate.php
    wp-blog-header.php
    wp-comments-post.php
    wp-config-sample.php
    wp-config-sample.php
    wp-cron.php
    wp-links-opml.php
    wp-load.php
    wp-login.php
    wp-mail.php
    wp-settings.php
    wp-signup.php
    wp-trackback.php
    xmlrpc.php

Now I’m looking at my phpMyAdmin page.
Unfortunately I can’t see any table entitled ‘Posts’
Here is a link to a screenshot of the page I am looking at via the phpMyAdmin page:

Many thanks again for any help!

That screen capture only shows one table in your SQL database. You had to click down to that table in the database tree to see this page. Just go up one level in the tree (on the left side of the page).

What do you have in the left sidebar of the phpMyAdmin view? Did you select your database there?

    Hi again,

here is another screenshot of what happens when I go up a level:

I did have a search around, & hope this is the page you meant

If that is an indication of the content, I guess it has disappeared really…

If there are no other tables in your database then, yes, it’s gone. Unless you have a backup you’ll have to start over from scratch.

Yeah, what you’re looking at there is just the wp_commentmeta table, and an empty one at that. Is there anything at all above it if you hit the Home icon?

If not, do you have any backups, and have you contacted your hosting provider about this?
