WordPress Overly Aggressive Permalinks

Hi, in the wordpress directory you should have an .htaccess file that rewrites your links and it’s rewriting the links for the “shop” directory also, you need to set up an ignoring rule for that directory in .htaccess
please check this for extra info and get back if you still have questions.

However, this link: https://funua.com/shop/about_us still gets handled by WordPress instead of Open Cart.

What could I have done wrong?

How did you create the permalink? I see you have other static pages like :
https://funua.com/shop/index.php?route=information/contact
and
https://funua.com/shop/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=6
that works and they have a different permalink structure then
https://funua.com/shop/about_us
not sure why is this (seems like an opencart part) the .htaccess file works fine….

This is one of the only links on which I have defined a canonical URL structure:
https://funua.com/shop/about_us

Another one is: https://funua.com/shop/ipod_classic

Both of those do not work.

The ones you pointed out are the default Open Cart stuff.

I discovered the problem was in the OpenCart .htaccess file

I think moshthepitt did what I need to do. Can you post your full fix? I’ve just loaded up a wordpress site with a store subfolder that host OpenCart. WordPress is great but if I don’t fix my htaccess files it will play havoc with my store.
