WordPress on temporary url using IP address

Hi

I have a site in asp and wanted to convert it to wordpress.
I have setup a wordpress site using a temporary url such as https://IP-ADDRESS/website url on a different server.

Once the temporary site was ready I pointed the domain to the new IP address. Now when searching for the site it redirects to my new wordpress site hompage but when I click on navigation tabs it redirects to the temporay IP address. I also don’t think mod-rewrite is setup on the server.

I’m not sure what the problems is and more importantly I’m not sure how to resolve it. ??

Any words of wisdom woudl be greatly appreciated.
