I have been having a terrible time setting up WordPress on Network Solutions. I had it up, but the domain pointer was pointing at a different domain within the server, not sure why, so when I went to add pages it would direct it to a long string for the permalink. So I called Support and they walked me through re-installing and pointing the domain name, but that didn’t work, as the new install was sitting within the old WordPress install. Now I removed the new install and deleted the old install, and pointed the domain to htdocs/wordpress1, when I did this and the site came up, it had a big WORDPRESS1 at the top of the screen and the site was broken, so now I have changed the domain to htdocs/ in hope that it will point it properly, but I wanted to ask if I need to do something with my .htaccess and or if I should do something else to make sure this points it right and all my permalinks will be properly created.

    Thanks in advance.
