I have recently installed a LAMP on my Mac Book Pro for testing. PHP and Apache are working well as well as MySQL. I created a database WordPress and a user for it. I can connect to that database using that user from the terminal and Sequel (MySQL Mac GUI for MySQL). But when I use the same user and password to get the WordPress installation going I get an error. I have chmod 777 the wordpress directory the files are in. But still no luck. I followed the instructions here: https://foolswisdom.com/mac-wordpress-error-establishing-a-database-connection/ . But still no luck. So weird! I have done this many times and now it doesn’t work, why?! Anynody any ideas?

Never mind. Solved DB_Host 127.0.0.1 was the final issue. I had localhost before, but that did not work. All is well now.
