wordpress not working on LAN

    Hi Folks, I am stuck here with strange issue.
    I have installed wordpress on CentOS 5.2. It works fine on localhost (CentOS machine), but when i try to browse the site from another machine on the same LAN using CentOS’s IP address i get error ‘the page cannot be displayed’. I desperately need help.

  • You need to change your site url and blog url to the servers ip address instead of localhost.

    Thanks Jeremy, that worked. Now I want to make it public. I have port forwarded on my router and can see my other stuff from outside but not wordpress. I am using RHEL 5 by the way. any tweak that you can suggest?

    heres the solution. You have to put the WAN ip (if you are using port forwarding) in your blog url to make it work.
